Twenty-five-year-old Luna Burke is on the run.
Licensed to care for injured and orphaned wildlife, she is determined to smuggle a homicidal Bald Eagle out of her husband’s private zoo in Florida, reunite the bird with its mate, and get them both to an eagle sanctuary in Canada. Hot on her trail is her furious husband, his bodyguards, the police, conservation officials, and an expert government tracker; aiding and abetting her is a smitten young tech guy, a lethal Navy SEAL turned panther advocate, and an underground railroad of wildlife rescuers intent on protecting one of their own. Waiting in Ontario is a legendary old eco-warrior more than willing to provide refuge…as long as Luna can make it across the border.
UNFLAPPABLE is a funny, dark, sexy adventure with a big cast of unconventional characters, both human and not.
FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS
Maybe it's my love for ALL animals, or perhaps it's the special love I have for birds, but this book was excellent. I have three birds at home, so I understood this book so very much. The bond between birds is special. That means humans and birds bond as well. To love a bird is to own a bird or be owned BY a bird, haha.
This story was amazing. It was action-packed and never gave me a slow moment. I was on the edge of my seat from the start. From the crazy romance with Adam and Luna. To the heart-wrenching and some heart-stopping action that follows. This book transports on you on an amazing journey, from start to finish.
The characters are so real and easy to love. Ned, oh my, he is just awesome. Luna as crazy, and similar to me, that I found her to be an amazing female and one I would love to know in real life. Yes, I'll admit, there were a few I didn't care for. I'll leave my opinions to myself and let you choose your side. The main characters I have to say WOW to are the many rehabbers and birds that come to life from the pages. Each of them I loved and felt like I knew them.
Overall this book was a great read. It had funny moments, sad moments, dangerous moments. It has it all, and it is an animal lover's dream.
