BLURB

Jane Yellowrock is the last of her kind—a skinwalker of Cherokee descent who can turn into any creature she desires and hunts vampires for a living. But now she’s been hired by Katherine Fontaneau, one of the oldest vampires in New Orleans and the madam of Katies’s Ladies, to hunt a powerful rogue vampire who’s killing other vamps.

Amidst a bordello full of real “ladies of the night,” and a hot Cajun biker with a panther tattoo who stirs her carnal desire, Jane must stay focused and complete her mission—or else the next skin she’ll need to save just may be her own...

FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS

I’ve had this book on my TBR list FOREVER. I even forgot that I purchased it. The thing is I love urban fantasy, especially urban fantasy, with a strong female lead.

Sor far, Jane Yellowrock is all that and a bag of chips.

I found this to be an excellent introduction to the series and the characters. I did, however, find my mind drifting a bit when things got a bit too “spiritual” for no other word. Not sure why maybe if I were reading vs. listening, it would have kept my attention. I find when I am listening to an audiobook, if the pace slows too much, my attention will drift off. I will even drift off during love scenes, GASP, I know! BTW there aren’t any love scenes for Jane in this story, which fit her character but was a bit of a bummer too.

I am looking forward to continuing Jane’s story and have already purchased the next audiobook. So far, I am enjoying it and want to see what happens next.
