She's wasting her life away in a small town...
Culinary chef Rebecca Gilbert knows that Tennessee isn't the place for her. But caring for her ailing father is her top priority, and she can't return to Chicago until he's well. Watching her friends pursue their dreams of landing perfect jobs and getting married proves that Rebecca wants--and needs--so much more. And after that passionate kiss from the womanizing Weasel, she knows that her heart can't handle what her mind and body want.
Playboy cop, Weasel takes his job seriously, but plays his women casually. Until he kisses Rebecca. Now, he's in it for keeps. But, she knows his game and refuses to get close. Can he weasel his way into her heart and prove that they are more than "just friends."
FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS
I forgot just how good this author was and exactly how much I enjoyed book 1. Reading this brought it all back, and I was not disappointed. Rebecca moved to White Oak to care for her old man, who has health issues. Four years later, and she is still there. We get her story now. Weasel is a cop at the White Oak Police department and has wanted Rebecca for years now. He wants a relationship, but she thinks its all just a temporary thing. Will they end up together or will one of them make a mistake?
I loved this story. We met Wild Weasel in book 1 of this series. We got a good in-depth look at him in this story, and he was a welcome surprise. He was a very loveable character. Rebecca was also an amazingly real and loveable character. This story as a whole was written so well. This group of friends and the small town of White Oak, has become written on my heart. I love these stories. They have romance, danger, drama, and friendship. They literally have a little bit of everything. Everything to make you fall in love, that is.
