Call me a prude go ahead, but I have a hard time getting behind a love story involving a porn star. I read one with a male porn star and had the same issue. And I’ll tell you the reason why I am a germaphobe. That’s it, and it grosses me out. I don’t begrudge anyone their vices or their choices, but when I read romance I usually try to put myself in the headspace of the leading lady and I can’t when I have the yucks. The story was exciting, and I liked the characters, I felt like Novak was trying too hard to make it funny, and it didn’t flow organically. But other than that, I did enjoy the general story. I liked Vera’s relationships with her friends and her Grandma. I think she is a genuine character. I am rating this on 3 Boundless stars, it was good.
