World War 2 action, thriller and romance. The haunted mind of a brave, young German patriot; the treachery and bitter betrayal of the Third Reich, soothed by the arms of a forbidden affair.

Explores the Holocaust, the massacre at Oradour-sur-Glane, the German occupation of Paris, Coco Chanel's relationship with the Third Reich and British Queen Alexandra nurses posted to Normandy after the D Day landings. Spins some true events.

Action, sadness, hope and a sensual romance between an SS Officer and a British nurse. FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS

This story is one that will stick with you. It is detailed, and it's hard not to be sucked into it. This story was one filled with the horrors of war, and while it wasn't fun to read, it was none the less, a terrific story. Karl is a strong character, that despite his job in the SS I couldn't help but feel for. He has such a strong love for his country, and he was empathetic in a time when it was not seen often, and that kept me reading. The horrors that are seen in this book are not alone. The romance between a SS soldier and a young British woman bring this story that is filled with so much war and hate, the beauty of love. I found this story to be very well written. It was detailed and was an excellent portrayal of the war shown from a different point of view. It had Romance, action, and history. For a historical read, it was a very good one.
