Vivian didn’t think things could get any worse than losing Emily, and getting to the shelter should have been their salvation. But once again their hopes were shattered when they discovered things weren’t safe as promised, forcing them to head into Vegas in search of supplies. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

This book is just frightening. Not the zombie aspect, it’s the light Mary shines on the pure evil that humanity can become one unchecked by the pretense of civility. I have often had the conversation with my husband that in an apocalyptic scenario woman would become a commodity just like anything else and Mad World shines a horrifying light on that. It made my skin crawl. The story was once again brutally real and aggressive in its pacing with loads of action and suspense at every turn. The hits and losses keep piling up for the group of survivors and just when it looks like they’ve found salvation it’s ripped away from them. The story was fantastic, and this is a series I will continue. I am giving Mad World (Broken World #3) 5 Boundless stars.
