Violence is never the answer…
unless you’re a Preor warrior. Rendan sen Tarkan, Offense Master to the Preor Third Fleet, has found his human mate. She is small compared to him, but her curves, delicious scent, and sky blue eyes call out to his soul. He has waited for a female for over two centuries and he will fight—kill—any who dare attempt to take her. Even one of his own males.
One moment Carla Butler was unemployed and the next she was on the Preor battleship, working as a nurse for human-Preor mates. Oh, and the next moment? That was when she found her sexy, alien pink-scaled mate. Then she watched the muscular dragon shifter get beat to hell. And then she was assigned a condo in Preor Tower on Earth. The person in the condo next door? That sexy, alien pink-scaled male.
Learning about the proud alien warrior isn’t trouble free, but it’s easier than almost dying. Yeah, almost. But the Preor who tried to end her life? Well, he doesn’t quit easily. She only hopes Rendan is there to save her when the alien tries to end her life once again. THREE BOUNDLESS STARS
Any time Todd Mrozek did Rendan narration he did the strange almost wheezily voice that I didn’t care for. Which was weird considering I like all the other narrations he has done and enjoyed his voice. Just not this character. LOL The storyline of Rendan and Carla was enjoyable. Her being a nurse there to help with the human woman not looking for a mate accidentally meets Rendon when he comes into medical injured. Rendan is the fleets Offense Master and completely goes nuts when he is injured and not thinking clearly and perceives his mate is in danger when she isn’t. It takes a situation from complicated to FUBAR, really quick. This is the last book in this series that has been published in audiobook (so far) it looks like there are 9 full-length novels written, I am not sure if I will switch to reading them. They are fun and entertaining, but I am not entirely invested in this world. The bad guys are predictable, and it doesn’t feel fresh. But it is steamy and a fun shifter, paranormal, sci-fi romance. I am giving it 3 Boundless Stars.
