Most humans have no idea that a dark and deadly underworld, filled with magic and monsters, exists. They wander through life blissfully ignorant of the supernatural world around them. Nora Jacobs is different. Nora knows exactly what kinds of hellish creatures haunt the streets of Detroit.

Thanks to a unique set of psychic abilities, Nora has managed to steer clear of the underworld most of her life. But all that changes the night the most powerful vampire in the city discovers her gifts and decides to use her as a tool to find one of his missing clan members.

As if that’s not bad enough, Nora believes she’s cursed. All her life, people, especially men, have been drawn to her—some to the point of obsession and violence. Underworlders, it seems, are not immune to this curse, and now she’s caught the attention of some of the most dangerous monsters in the city.

Neck deep in an investigation only she can solve, Nora quickly makes as many new allies as she does enemies. Her biggest problem is staying alive long enough to decide which is which. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

I have found a new Urban Fantasy series to love! The only downside is there isn’t oodles and oodles of books out for me to binge on yet. Nora has unique abilities that come with a curse. Not only is she psychic but she has an abnormal allure that draws men. Luring men has plagued her in ways no child should have to deal with and now as an adult, she is damaged. Thankfully no scenes are shown but her abuse is strongly, and I do me strongly hinted. So be warned. There is a lot of Nora’s backstory, and you need it to understand Nora. Due to Nora’s psychic abilities, she knows about the underworld yet she has managed to avoid it until now. I loved Nora; her tragic past makes her such a strong character. Even though she isn’t physically strong, she has a will of iron. She knows her mind and knows what she wants and doesn’t want out of her life. Money and luxury won't seduce her; she has pride and dignity. The character and world building in this story are, and the mystery was great. I can’t wait to find out what Nick is. Gorgeous what a name. I love it. This is described in Goodreads as a “This is a slow burn reverse harem romance” That isn’t accurate, this is straight up Urban Fantasy at its finest. I am giving Don’t Rush Me (Nora Jacobs #1) 5 Boundless Stars; I have another favorite Urban Fantasy to add to the list.
