During the battle that takes place in Jarek, Taulan was severely injured, and he lost his wings. Being a dragon shifter this is a huge deal, and Taulan has lost his sense of self and is ready to return home. Lana is running from a very abusive man and is down to her last dime living in her car. She has a job interview with the Ujal and its there on the beach that circumstance collide her with Taulan. Lana is what Taulan needed, and even though she is too stubborn to admit it, Taulan is what Lana needed. This story is full of heartache and pain, and the characters each suffered horribly. But that is what made them stronger. The steamy sex and action is also a big plus, but I enjoyed the relationship that Lana and Taulan had. I am giving Taulan 4 Boundless stars
