Tales of the Neverwar

Four books.

One epic adventure.

Origins of the Never

At the dawn of time, magic suffuses the universe. There is no war. There is no disease. There is no hunger.

The source is Teralia, a world of wonder and the home of the font of magic...The Glade. But what happens when the Darkness corrupts innocence? What happens when the magic is twisted, and used for diabolical purposes?

Find out in Origins of the Never, the prequel novella set thousands of years before the series.

Souls of the Never

A pan-dimensional battle between light and darkness drags a kick-ass Irish girl and her best friend into the fight.

Hmm...who wants to bet the Irish girl wins?Worlds of the Never

Oh, it's getting political. The resistance has to build alliances with the major military powers.

Oh, and dragons.

War of the NeverDragons fight spaceships. Magic returns. F-35s fight dragons. Dragons fight dragons.

You know the drill. FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS

This is an amazingly fun world Rutherford has created, and the characters are unique. Unlike most children’s books, evil does exist with irreversible actions. I appreciate the reality of that. Each character is well developed throughout the story, and the author has given readers enough description to allow us to become a part of his world. I enjoyed the book. Also, I listened to the audiobook and like the narrator; she has perfect emotions and cadence in her narration. This would be a good book for upper grades and young adults and some middle school age children. I would not use this in any grade under 8th grade though. I would also arrange the reading time spans based on where we were in the book. There are some parts that will quickly lose the students’ attention, but some that will have them at the edge of their seats. Overall I give Tales of Neverwar a 4-star rating.
