Mercenary Kate Daniels must risk all to protect everything she holds dear in this epic, can't-miss entry in the thrilling #1 New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series.

Kate has come a long way from her origins as a loner taking care of paranormal problems in post-Shift Atlanta. She's made friends and enemies. She's found love and started a family with Curran Lennart, the former Beast Lord. But her magic is too strong for the power players of the world to let her be.

Kate and her father, Roland, currently have an uneasy truce, but when he starts testing her defenses again, she knows that sooner or later, a confrontation is inevitable. The Witch Oracle has begun seeing visions of blood, fire, and human bones. And when a mysterious box is delivered to Kate's doorstep, a threat of war from the ancient enemy who nearly destroyed her family, she knows their time is up.

Kate Daniels sees no other choice but to combine forces with the unlikeliest of allies. She knows betrayal is inevitable. She knows she may not survive the coming battle. But she has to try.

For her child.

For Atlanta.

For the world. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

I received a copy of Magic Triumphs via NetGalley all thoughts and opinions are my own. I first discovered Kate Daniels back in March of 2013, and the world that Ilona Andrews has built over the years has become an obsession of mine. Kate Daniels is the Urban Fantasy series, and I compare all other Urban Fantasies too. The characters are so incredibly vivid and complex, with a world that is so multi-faceted, that there is no telling where the story could go at any given point. So, when the acknowledgments in the forward of the book state that “This book, the culmination of this storyline,” I almost cried right then and there. Magic Triumphs is the perfect ending to Kate and Curran’s story. There was so much action from beginning to end, along with great humor and a big dose of love and family thrown into the mix, (dysfunctional as it may be). Andrews wrote a phenomenal ending to their storyline, one that has done them and all their secondary characters justice. Not to mention, a few big surprises thrown in that blow all expectations away. I don’t want to give anything away, and I honestly think that even though I am sad to see the ending of Kate and Curran’s storyline, it was done brilliantly. I want more, and there are the lead-ins for the secondary characters to have books. And we may see Kate and Curran again if we are lucky. If you haven’t read Kate Daniels series from the beginning, don’t start here go back and start from book one Magic Bites. And If you are a fan and haven’t read Iron and Magic yet, you need to because that book coincides with this one, and takes place before Magic Triumphs. To say that I loved Magic Triumphs, wouldn’t do it the service it requires, I live it, I breathe it, I am obsessed! I am going to go back and restart the entire series, from the beginning in Audiobook because I ’m not ready to say goodbye!
