Despite their mutual distrust, Nick and Serena find themselves bonding over an injured, orphaned dog. And soon they're arousing more than just suspicions. Willow has moved back to her hometown after divorce and the loss of her dog training business. As she is renovating her house and set up for her a new dog park, a body is found on her property. Her contractor, Griffin, is the main suspect and so, in order together house set up and her business up and running, she takes it upon herself to find out who killed the man found in her yard and clear Griffins name. I love animals, and I love mystery, so this book was right up my alley. Willow is an awesomely driven person who won't let a dead body stop her. She shows great determination. I loved her character. This story was a good old-fashioned mystery. It kept me guessing until the very end. It was written well with likable characters, both three and four-legged. And of course the one three-legged dog, Tele. Overall, this story was terrific. It was a fast and fun read that kept me interested. It was action-packed from start to finish. It was a story I'd recommend to any of my pet and mystery loving friends.
