A vampire aristocrat, Peyton is well aware of his duty to his bloodline: mate with an appropriate female of his class and carry on his family’s traditions. And he thought he’d found his perfect match—until she fell in love with someone else. Yet when his split-second decision in a battle with the enemy endangers the life of another trainee, Peyton has to face the idea that his future, and his heart, actually lie with another.

Novo, as a female in the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s training program, feels like she has to prove herself to everybody—and she has no interest in being distracted by falling in love. But when Peyton proves to be so much more than a rich playboy, she is forced to confront the tragedy that has broken her soul and closed her off from love.

As the two grapple with Novo’s past and Peyton’s present, another couple must contend with an erotic connection that is unparalleled—and potentially scandalous.

Saxton, who has had his heart broken, discovers in himself a deep-seated attraction to Ruhn, a new member of the household. But will the other male explore the connection? Or will he close his mind and his heart to what could be true love . . . and cost Saxton everything? FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS

In the 3rd installment of Black Dagger Legacy Ward continues the overall Story of her Black Dagger Brotherhood World, she also gives us two new love stories. Payton hasn’t been one of my favorite characters, him being such a spoiled aristocrat never translated well for me, and I never liked him. I didn’t have an opinion on Novo. It turns out her story was pretty tragic and heartbreaking. I was surprised by the amount of depth that went into her. I shouldn’t have been, but I was. Their story was messy and full of misunderstandings and harsh judgments. I was also surprised that by the end my view on Payton took a complete 180. Theirs wasn’t the best love story, but I did enjoy it. The second story in this book revolves around Saxton, who I have loved since he was introduced. Saxton in heartbroken over his breakup and loss of Blay. I am so glad Ward rectified this and gave Saxton a relationship. I was heartbroken for him. Ruhn was a complete surprise as Saxton’s love interest and one I did not see coming. But it works and fits perfectly. I loved Saxton and Ruhn together, they complement each other in their differences, and they loved each other so thoroughly. This world that Ward has created is solely her own and unique with the mythos, the language, the everything. She has been able to keep me engaged and wanting more from this world, and I don’t see that ending any time soon. I love that even though we get new characters In Black Dagger Legacy, we still always get some of the old as well. Blood Fury is a great addition one that I truly enjoyed, and I am giving it 4 Boundless Stars.
