I’m the guy you love to hate.
In every story in my life, I seem to end up playing the villain—and I’ve got the scars to prove it.
That role works fine for me, because I’m sure as hell not anyone’s hero. I run my life and my empire with an iron fist—until she knocks my tightly controlled world off its axis.
She’s nobody’s damsel in distress, but I can’t help but want to save her anyway.
I guess we’re about to find out if there’s a hero buried
… beneath these scars. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS
Lucas and Yve story is tumultuous. These two have loads of sexual chemistry yet they don’t like each other. At least Yve doesn’t want Lucas. I think Lucas likes the challenge of Yve. He is a billionaire it is a rare thing for him not to have a woman falling to do whatever he wants. With Yve she is the complete opposite, she treats Lucas like he has the plague, that is until he gets her beneath him. For that time they are on the same page, but once it is over, they are back to mutual disdain. It was a different type of love story. Beneath These Scars, also has a bit of a romance with a bit of suspense going on which added so much depth to the plot. I had no idea who the bad guy was; it was quite a shock. I love that March didn’t give it away. Once again the narration of Andy Arndt and Sebastian York is brilliant and like I have said in the past the only thing that could have made it better was if it was done in a duet format. Beneath These Scars, is an excellent addition to the Beneath series. Although the love story wasn’t conventional to start, it ended perfectly with an excellent HEA.
