I need a wife if I want to help save my family’s billion-dollar pub empire. There’s just one problem: I never plan on marrying. So, I need someone who understands that this is just another business deal. I don’t do commitments. And my brother’s executive assistant, Fallon Smith, fits that bill.

Fallon needs help with her grandmother’s expenses, and her pretending to be my fake wife is a way we can make that happen. She’s not my biggest fan, but we can help each other and then go our separate ways. That she’s beautiful and I enjoy spending time with her–doesn’t matter. When all of this is done, she’s heading home to America, and I’ve got a company to run.

A fake wedding and a whole lot of whiskey. What could go wrong? FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

Straight Up Irish is a beautifully written romance. Fallon on a whim went to Dublin, Ireland for a job. It may not pay that great, but it’s helping her take care of her Nana. One of the most important people in her life. And then there’s Connor the wild playboy and part of the Murphy’s Pub business. Fallon is such a beautiful soul; she cares deeply for those she loves. And Connor went from this sexy playboy to a man who has a huge heart. This starts off with a fake engagement but turns into something real, as time goes on. This was written so well, and I just fell in love with these characters and this world that Vernon created. I’ve read quite a few books by this author, and I feel this one is on top of my list. I really can’t wait to see what’s in store for number two. Overall, I have to give this Five Boundless Stars. It was the perfect mix of humor, romance and some of the steamiest moments.
