As a special class of earthbound guardian angel called Memitim, Hawkyn is charged with protecting those whose lives are woven into the fabric of the future. His success is legendary, so when he’s given a serial killer to watch over, he sees no reason for that to change. But Hawkyn’s own future is jeopardized after he breaks the rules and rescues a beautiful woman from the killer’s clutches, setting off an explosive, demonic game of cat and mouse that pits brother against brother and that won’t end until someone dies. Aurora Mercer is the half-wytch lone survivor of a psychopath who gets off on the sadistic torture of his victims. A psychopath whose obsessive psyche won’t let him move on until he kills her. Now she’s marked for death, her fate tied to that of a murderer…and to a sexy angel who makes her blood burn with desire…
FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS
This is an excellent installment in the Demonica Underworld series. If you are new to the Demonica universe, I would personally recommend going back to the beginning and starting with Pleasures Unbound. That way you will have a complete and total appreciate for this multiverse that Ione has created. She must use flow charts to keep it all straight. LOL
Once again in Hawkyn, we get a Memitim story. Memitim are earthbound guardian angels who are the offspring of the Grim Reaper and angels. But we are also introduced to an entire new supernatural being a Wytch, which is different than a Witch.
One thing I love about all of Ione’s stories is even though each revolves around the two main characters there is always a bigger plot moving in the background. So, when you read the series, it weaves together seamlessly. It's bloody brilliant writing.
Hawkyn is an excellent addition to the Demonica Underworld/Demonica series. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
