BLURB

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense. I wanted him, but Chance wouldn’t make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back. I wasn’t supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we’d be going our separate ways. All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

4.5 (FIVE) BOUNDLESS STARS

Since I listened to this in audiobook format my review is based on that, I loved the story and the characters, but I wasn’t a fan of Aaron Abano narration. He just kind of threw everything at me. I pictured a sexy voice like Chris Hemsworth, and that’s not what we got. I can work around it when a female is narrating the character, but when a man does it, and I don’t like his voice, it just doesn’t work for me. There wasn’t anything wrong with Abano’s narration other than I just didn’t care for his voice. I know I am weird, but I like what I like.

The story was excellent, with terrific characters and a twist that I didn’t see coming from a mile away. And oh man does this book depict the song “When a Man Loves a Woman.” It was swoon-worthy. The story brought tears to my eyes a few times, and I fell madly in love with both characters.

If I read it would get a higher rating but the audiobook receives a 4.5 Boundless Stars.
