Swindled. Duped. Cheated. A back-alley game gone wrong leads to the loss of a precious family heirloom, and Willa is determined to reclaim what’s rightfully hers. Yet, when circumstances lead her to cross paths with a curious, protective alien, she begins to question what’s truly important. Note: You do not need to read previous books in the series to enjoy this one. M/F Romance. Warning: This story contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, violence, and situations intended for mature readers.
4.5 (FIVE) BOUNDLESS STARS
The only issue I took with this story was when and how Willa’s and Kyran relationship started. She owned him and he was her, slave and it left a bad taste in my mouth for her to start a sexual relationship with one of her slaves. However, what redeemed Willa was that she never treated nor looked at Kyran like a slave and he was more than willing. Of course.
The world and especially the character building of this book is excellent, and I loved the description of the Khyma. They are incredible. Rhys has an extraordinary imagination that I thoroughly enjoy. I enjoy that we get a bit of a tease of each male on the cover of the books.
In The Khyma, Willa is a take charge, kick ass chick, my favorite kind and the story was a lot of fun to read. I hope Kyran’s pack mates get stories also. I am giving it 4.5 Boundless stars, and I am already moving on to the next book in the series.
