At the tender age of seven, Jess Riley’s parents were ripped out of her life by the Tear, a ripple of white light in the sky which randomly transports people from Earth to alternate realities and distant planets once a year. On the night the Tear first appeared, the Watchers, a mysterious group of men possessing supernatural powers, made their presence known to the leaders of the world, earning their complete trust to deal with the turmoil the Tear caused.

Now twenty-two years old, Jess is an agent working for the Watcher Agency searching for a way to bring her parents back home. When the leader of the Watchers, Mason Collier, recruits her to join his team, Jess quickly discovers she is meant to play a major role in sealing the Tear forever. Mason and Jess instantly find themselves drawn to one another but they both resist their mutual attraction for different reasons. Broken by past events in their lives, they each struggle to overcome their fears and find the strength to take a chance on one another. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

Broken is a brilliant, exciting and enthralling story. Jess Riley thought she lost her parents in the Tear. Which in turn, made her become a watcher. With the hope that she will find them one day. A significant thing happens that quickly changes her life. Thrust into one of the chosen, whose destiny is basically to save the world. This was such a fantastic tale. I loved Brittany Pressley’s narration. Her voice just took over, and I found myself not being able to think of anything else. There’s a major love story; it feels very epic. The way that Jess and Mason come together and then start to fall for each other is beautiful. It’s also quite heartbreaking for both of them. I’m glad that stumbled upon this story. And can’t wait to jump into #2. I love the whole angels vs. demons; it’s fascinating. Thanks to the audible romance package, I wouldn’t have probably stumbled upon it. Overall, Five Boundless Stars
