If anyone asks, I knew better than to flash my boobs for Mardi Gras beads.

I still don’t know why I did it. Maybe it was the dare from my two best friends. Maybe it was the guys on the balcony saying they’d throw Fireball shots with the beads. Or maybe it was the quiet guy in the corner of that same balcony with piercing gray eyes, wavy dark hair, and a smile so tempting I wanted to climb up there and lick it off his face. Maybe it was because I never thought I’d see them again. Not that it matters. Not today. Because the hotel I manage was finally bought—and the guy who walks in and introduces himself as my new boss is Mr. Tall, Dark, and Silent.

There are many upsides to being single. Your new boss knowing what your boobs look like? Not one of them. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. The Upside to Being Single is one of those romantic comedies, which quickly weasels its way into your heart. Mellie aka Melanie has been the manager of a hotel for awhile and has learned that her new boss will be visiting. Someone who has gladly purchased the hotel. But it’s not at all who she imagined. This is one of the most hilarious books I’ve read this year, the never-ending banter between Mellie and Mr. Creed was so much fun. I wished I could have been there myself. Hart made you feel that passion, that simmers just before there’s no going back. The amount of sarcasm just leaking off these pages is brilliant. I loved the secondary characters as well, the employees at the hotel and Mellie’s BFF”s were just hilarious. There’s no way that reading this story, wouldn’t put you in a good mood. I’m glad that I took a chance on this book, I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately. I think it’s just because it’s the new year and new things are happening. So this is an excellent start to the new year and… the second one of this series is coming out in a couple of months so win-win. Overall, I give this Five Boundless Stars. It didn’t make me cry, but it sure made me laugh.
