I’m his entertainment. His toy. Payment on a debt.
I tell myself I hate him, but every time he walks into the room, my body betrays me. How can I want him and fear him in the same moment?
They told me he’d mess with my head. Make it go to war with my body.
But I didn’t realize it would be complete anarchy.I should’ve known better. When Mount’s involved, there are no rules.
I will not surrender. I will not show weakness. I’ll stand my ground and make it out of this bargain with my heart and soul intact.
But he has other plans . . . FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS
This picks up right where book one left us with that crazy cliffhanger, and just takes off from there. In book two. Both Keira and Mount continue to explore their “relationship” but in book two they have actually started to turn from kidnapper and hostage to a relationship. Mount brings that dominance that Keira craves and Keira is everything Mount has ever wanted and never knew he needed. It is all about how do these two stubborn people work through their issues and resolve to realize they are perfect together. I love these two together. And even though I don’t agree with how Mount went about acquiring Keira, the power is a sexy thing. Keira needs a King she needs a man who is worthy of her and he may be that man. He isn’t a good man but he could be her man. This did end on another huge cliffhanger. Luckily the next book isn’t that far off. But still too far. I am giving Defiant Queen, 5 Boundless Stars. I loved it!
