In a bid for more power, the Shadow Queen of Haradis has unleashed a malignant force into the world. Her son Brishen, younger prince of the Kai royal house, suddenly finds himself ruler of a kingdom blighted by a diseased darkness and on the brink of war. His human wife Ildiko must decide if she will give up the man she loves in order to secure his throne.

Three enemy kingdoms must unite to save each other, and a one-eyed, reluctant king must raise an army of the dead to defeat an army of the damned.

A tale of alliance and sacrifice. FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

Eidolon starts right where Radiance leaves off and with the evil Shadow Queen releasing a demon horde in the world. This horde is so malevolent it devours and destroys everything in its path and non-can stop it, except a Wraith King. Brishen and Ildiko live's change quickly with Brishen being Monarch of his race. Decisions need to be made the toughest being Ildiko because a Monarch must have heirs and the union between human and Kai is fruitless. But first, the demons must be defeated before their ceaseless hunger devours the world. Brishen proves what a truly brave and honorable Kia he is with his sacrifice and willingness to lead the charge against the demons by becoming a Wraith King. However, he refuses to give up his love, his life, his wife, his Ildiko. And I loved that about him. Ildiko is going to stay strong and do what is needed for Brishen, even if that requires her stepping down on no longer being his queen. She is willing to make that sacrifice for him. Whatever he needs, she will do for her Brishen. Eidolon is full of sacrifice, bravery, duty, and soul deep love, this is a book that I really loved and I can’t wait for more in this series. I am giving it 5 Boundless Stars
