Madoc and Fallon. Two estranged teenagers playing games that push the boundaries between love and war… She’s back. For the two years she’s been away at boarding school, there was no word from her. Back when we lived in the same house, she used to cut me down during the day and then leave her door open for me at night. I was stupid then, but now I’m ready to beat her at her own game… I’m back. Two years and I can tell he still wants me, even if he acts like he’s better than me. But I won’t be scared away. Or pushed down. I’ll call his bluff and fight back. That’s what he wants, right? As long as I keep my guard up, he’ll never know how much he affects me….
FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS
When I started Rival, I thought this is gonna be good. But I was wrong! It was amazingly good. Made and Fallon are just so raw and real. There are so many layers to this story. It’s like a star crossed angsty romance. Madoc and Fallon our step siblings but before you.. eww! their not really a family. There was never a moment where any of them felt like they were family. These two have gone through so much together. Due to misunderstandings and secrets. One thing that I’ve grown to love about Penelope’s writing. She doesn’t give it all a way in the beginning. She gives you snippets. So you're left anticipating and wondering what the heck is going on?! The narration was done wonderfully and I’ve really grown to love Abby Craden’s Narration and I also enjoyed Nelson Hobbs. They really did the story justice. Overall, I have to give this Five Boundless Stars. There are so many elements to this story and Penelope’s writing is pretty spectacular, I can’t get enough. On to #3 Falling Away…
