The keeper of family secrets, Patricia Roberts grows up isolated and lonely. Trust no one and you won’t be disappointed is her motto. Three men fall in love with her and she learns to trust, only to find that their agendas are not her own. With secrets concealed from her by the ultimate love of her life, and with her own secret to keep, duplicity and deceit threaten their relationship.
In a coming of age story set against the sweeping backdrop of the Second World War - evacuation, the Battle of Britain, the Blitz, buzz bombs and secret war work - Patricia ultimately has to decide whether to reveal her deepest held secret for the sake of her future happiness. FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS
Pat is bounced around from home to home when her school is evacuated during World War 2. She faces troubles with living arrangements, family, friends, and of course boys. The war is on and life is hard for her and everyone involved and secrets are hidden along the way. This book was really good. It was written well. I loved Pat. She had a great character and was strong and determined through all her troubles. I also fell for James because even though older than Pat he was a great man and loved her. Their love was great up until the very end. This book was dramatic and detailed and full or troubled times and romance as well. I loved the history of it all
