SYNOPSIS

From New York Times bestseller, Kendall Ryan, comes a sexy new standalone novel. My tempting and very alpha friend Sterling Quinn is someone I consider off-limits. It's not just that we're friends, he's also cocky, confident, and British, which means he's a walking aphrodisiac. But lately he's been giving me the look. You know the one. When he thinks I'm not paying attention, and his gaze lingers for too long. When we start working together, that's when the sexual tension between us gets so thick, I want to hack through it with a machete. I want to make all these deep feelings I've harbored for him disappear, because there's no way this can end well. The lines between business and pleasure become irrevocably blurred, and I'm stuck between a rock, and Sterling's very, very hard place. Rather than keep a level head about our growing attraction, Sterling wants to go all in, showing me just how explosive we can be together. But I've been around long enough to know that this British bad boy is more than my heart can handle. I'm not about to be cast aside like yesterday's underwear when he's done having fun. Sterling’s never been told no, and he's not about to put his ego aside and play by my rules. But I never thought he'd fight so dirty. *This is a spin-off from the HITCHED series, but can be read as a standalone.

FIVE BOUNDLESS STARS

I was offered a copy of The Fix Up in exchange for an honest review. This is the first novel I’ve read by Kendall Ryan and if this is indicative of her work I am a fan! From the beginning I was dying laughing. I mean seriously “Cum-hair Barbie” classic! I think that one gave me first degree burns spitting out coffee!

The premise behind the story is one that I’ve read many times. I will admit I was a bit disappointed and thought to myself “this again”. A single man has to hurry up and get married in order to inherit a fortune. However, I was pleasantly surprised due to Ryan’s interesting twist that made the story fresh and fun. Not to mention she gave Sterling incredible depth. It just made him not only sexy but loveable. Then there is Camryn, she was the perfect character, fun, sassy, yet vulnerable and real. The chemistry between the two was OMG! off the charts and could melt my e-reader. Don’t get me started on those scorching love scenes! I am still flushed. Yowzah!

The entire back and forth between the two had me so frustrated. I love and hate when, authors have me wanting to reach into the book and knock their characters heads together. But that is what makes it so great! I love when I can immerse myself in the story and the rest of the world falls away and nothing else exists but these characters and their world.

It is the mark of a truly great story and author. I devoured The Fix Up in just a few hours and it was a delicious read! I am looking forward to reading more from Kendall Ryan.
