Like many of you.. I love to read and I love getting books in the mail. I've had one other monthly book box before, but it was a little pricey.
I was scrolling through facebook one day. I saw an ad for The Book Candy Box. I've seen them advertised before. But I said what the heck! I'm doing it. So I thought why not put it on the blog.. such a great idea.
This box was $22.. yes just $22! that's really nothing. Especially, for what your getting.
Opening I was excited because what's in there?! No one knows. So here are some photos.
** Bear in Mind I'am NO Photographer lol!**
This is what I saw when I first opened the box! Ta DA! but the Book Candy Box doesn't, give what you got, away easily.. so lets dive in...
Here you have little goodie bag. Which I have not opened.. So I'm gonna go open it and I'll tell you what's inside.
* Candy Corn
* Pumpkin Page Holder
* Plastic Bracelet
* Signed Book Mark
* A little bookmark thing, with books by P.G. Forte (May have to check it out)
* Pumpkin Pencil!
So that's Cool! little extras. Check out some books, that I haven't seen before. Not sure about the Candy Corn though.. not much of a fan lol.. anyone a fan? Ok moving on.
Oh the suspense! the books are wrapped.. eeepp. I'm serious though, I love unwrapping stuff. It's like Christmas or my Birthday!! Shall we see whats next.. dun dun dun..
Ohhhh.. loving this cover. I'm a cover lover and I will not deny I sometimes (maybe most of the time, judge a book by its cover.. Ssshhh tell no one) It is signed by LP Lovell herself :) signed books.. loovveee but I have never read her before. Lets check out the synopsis.
London’s square mile is witness to a revolution, a new breed of business woman. They call us tiger sharks. We out-earn, out-work and out-play our male counterparts. We work the system, play the game and most importantly, we win. In a city full of sharks only the most ruthless make it to the top of the pool. The number one rule: never sleep with the boss. Ever. I had no intention of breaking it until I met my new boss. No matter how strong my resolve, Landon Banks can smell weakness like a shark smells blood in the water, and I’m bleeding. The hunter becomes the hunted, lines start to blur, and I have a choice to make. Screw or be screwed. Of course, I never was much good at taking it like a bitch. Landon Banks will be learning to grab his ankles if I have anything to do with it. Things are about to get interesting in the game of predator versus predator. Who will come out on top?
So I'm totally going to read this one.. When I have time, being a reviewer I read a ton and have a ton of books to read. But it's a beautiful book.. exciting!! And on to the next...
Ohhhh it's Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan!.. You may be surprised but I've never read anything by Tijan. I see her books around a lot but have never jumped in. But I' am super loving this cover.. lets check out the synopsis
He told me to 'settle, girl.' He asked if 'something was wrong with me?' He said I was an ‘easy target.’ That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks. I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha. He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother. Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming. I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead? Standalone.
So I'm totally going to check it out! and it's obviously signed by Tijan, so that's a cool thing to have.
So there you have it, The Book Candy Box in all it's Glory. Some things to think about with this box. There are quite a few options to choose from and how much you want to spend. This is not a subscription, so you can skip months. You can choose the different options.
My overall rating for this box, is that it's totally worth it. I think it would be perfect for any book lover. I love the surprise factor as well. Because in the end your introduced to authors you may or may not have heard of. Maybe you'll get your favorite book ever, signed by the author! There's really nothing better than that.
Also, the holidays are coming up and it would be the perfect gift. So what are you waiting for? head on over to The Book Candy Box and check it out! :)
