Synopsis
What Lilliana Marsden wants—she gets. The thing she believes she desires most is to live in Charleston on a plantation. Her problem? Parents who refuse to listen to her. Lily decides to make her wishes come true and who better than a handsome American ship captain to help her.
Randall Collins finds Lilliana bewitching and quickly falls under her spell. When she asks if he can take her with him on his next voyage he finds himself agreeing—for a tiny fee. A kiss as payment and he'll take her anywhere she wants. As they set sail sparks fly between them. Will Lily find something more desirable than owning a plantation and can Rand convince her he's the better choice?
Four Boundless Stars
A Treasured Lily is a well written story with developed characters. A spoiled rich little girl, accustomed to always getting what she wants plans to live in a Plantation in Charleston; however, she is given a condition by her parents, she must marry before she can become the lady of the mansion. With devious intentions, Lily set her interest on an American traveler and gets more than she planned.
To be honest, romance is not my preferred genre, but I like historical novels so I gave it a try. I was not disappointed. I received an audio version in exchange for an honest review; the voices Beatrice Pendergast used were a little much for my taste but not enough to ruin the story.
Overall, I rate A Treasured Lily with 4 Boundless Stars.
