Blurb

In a world of danger and deception, she walks the line--between seductive passion and scandalous murder...

Eve Dallas is a New York police lieutenant hunting for a ruthless killer. In over ten years on the force, she's seen it all--and knows her survival depends on her instincts. And she's going against every warning telling her not to get involved with Roarke, an Irish billionaire--and a suspect in Eve's murder investigation. But passion and seduction have rules of their own, and it's up to Eve to take a chance in the arms of a man she knows nothing about--except the addictive hunger of needing his touch.

Five Boundless Stars

This is one of those series I have always heard about but have yet to dive into. I mean this book came out in 1995 and there are over 40 books! It’s a bit daunting to contemplate. It’s also written by Nora Roberts an author that I constantly see on the bestseller list but again have yet to try.

Naked in Death did not disappoint one bit, and one thing I was not expecting was that it was a futuristic sci-fi-ish detective novel. I was hooked! It had a bit of a Blade Runner meets Fifth Element feel sans the comedy of Fifth Element. I finished the audiobook in two days, skipping TV, to listen and finish the book. I could not walk away! It’s gritty and raw; has such a depraved realness that goes along with the worst of society, no matter the time. Susan Ericksen was masterful in her narration and I have already grabbed the next installment.
