Synopsis

Opposites in every way . . . except the one that matters Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight-A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn’t want—and the only person she’s never tried to please. She isn’t afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won’t listen. To a rebel like Rule Archer, Shaw Landon is a stuck-up, perfect princess-and his dead twin brother’s girl. She lives by other people’s rules; he makes his own. He doesn’t have time for a good girl like Shaw-even if she’s the only one who can see the person he truly is. But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule have to figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without destroying their love . . . or each other.

Four Boundless Stars

This is an audiobook I was offered via first in the series. Even though I am not really into the whole college age romance as much as I use to be, I still really enjoyed this one. Shaw has loved Rule forever, and watched him go through girls like one would go through Kleenex during flu season; every time she found him with a new girl, her heart would break a little more. Of course Rule was completely clueless to Shaw’s devotion. He thought of her as being a pain in the ass friend of the family there to berate him, and force him to family functions he had no desire to go to.

Things start to change for Rule when he runs into Shaw at the bar she works at; he sees her, I mean really sees her for the first time. It might have had something to do with the sexy referee outfit she was wearing; regardless, Rule is FINALLY looking at Shaw the way a man looks at a woman. Once his interest is peaked, all it takes is a drunken birthday on Shaw’s part and all bets are off.

I really liked the overall story, with the family drama on both Shaw and Rule’s parts. Don’t even get me started on Shaw’s crazy ex; that one was like OMG, There were also some touching and heartbreaking moments.

The biggest disappointment I had was the love scenes; there is a lot of buildup, then almost nothing. It’s like we get a non sex scene sex scene, might as well do a fade to black. Never mind please don’t! In my opinion if I was to rate the “steam” level in this story it would be around a 1or 2 maybe.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story and I am rating it 4 boundless stars.
