Lucas just wanted to be a normal human being, but normal is highly over-rated. Lucas Speck had been just some guy who worked at an office supply store and house-sat for his snowbird parents. He was nobody special. Or that’s what he thought before the headaches start and weird things start to happen to him. When people start chasing him his whole life gets turned upside down. Bennett Somerset is a dragon shifter, who likes his quiet life in his quiet town. He isn’t looking for complications. He already has a family that defines the words, weird and crazy, to perfection. Good thing they live in a small town where nothing ever happens. That is until he smells the most delicious thing in the world and realizes it’s his mate. His little witch of a mate just made things way more complicated.

Four Boundless Stars

I was offered this eBook in exchange for an honest review; well, this is not what I would normally read. I do love anything about the paranormal and shapeshifters, and with witchcraft added, it’s a must read for me! I absolutely loved the story. The plot was new, but the whole mating thing and how shapeshifters feel about their mates definitely is not a new concept. It does help with the story, and explain the shifters actions though, so I can understand why it’s in every book. This IS the first time I’ve read a book with dragon shifters mixed in with every other kind of shifters, so that part was awesome.

It was a quick read and the action and suspense was great! With that said, I must inform readers that this is a gay novel. I don’t usually get into the details of male on male intimacy, and I learned way more than I ever planned to know from reading this book. I don’t have a problem with it, to each his own, I am all about gay rights and equality; I just don’t need the details. If that’s your thing, you’ll love this book! I just want to let potential readers know so they wouldn’t be surprised; as the synopsis doesn’t include anything about intimacy aspect of the story.

Overall, the story was great, the characters were awesome and the imagery was spot on; however, because of the “over sharing” in the story, this is a 4 Boundless Star book for me.
