Blurb

Christina willingly gave up her successful career as the star of the New York Ballet Company in order to marry Adam. Now a happy wife and mother living in the small city of Lockville, she longs to tap into her creative life once again and introduce her new community to big-city culture.

As the founding director of the local ballet company, she decides the first production should be a racy rendition of Swan Lake. Rebellious dancers and scandalized locals, however, refuse to support such an endeavor.

On the verge of giving up, Christina’s dream is salvaged when a recently divorced businessman offers to sponsor the dance company and manage her finances. But Buck has more on his mind than money, and he soon tricks her into an unwelcome quid pro quo relationship. Suddenly, what was supposed to be a life-giving achievement begins to tear away at everything Christina holds dear—and she still isn’t sure that the production will even make it to opening night.

Can Christina break free from Buck before Adam finds out? Or will her creative risk end up costing her everything?

Three Boundless Stars

Christina is trying to start her own Ballet Company and when Buck decides to help with the financing end of this expedition she is helpless to his charms. While at first all seems businesslike, things soon change into something she is definitely not expecting or wanting. Buck, she finds out soon enough, is not who he claims to be. While her dream to build the Ballet Company is what keeps her going the going gets very rough and she must do all in her power to not let her dreams or her inner self die. This book was very intriguing from the start. Immediately I feel so bad for Christina. She is so naive and gets swept up into a world of betrayal and lies that is out of her control. Buck was easy to dislike from his first appearance. He completely tricks her and is not a great guy no matter how much money he has to throw around. I really really could not stand him. I will say this....The characters really make the book. The story is good and written well. Overall, this was a pretty decent story and one that is worth reading. It will keep you reading late into the night to unwind this captivating tale of broken dreams and betrayal.
