Beyond The Rising Tide, is one of those books, that you know will make a big impact on anyone that reads it. After a tragic accident Avery hasn’t been herself. Blaming herself for death of boy who saved her life. She doesn’t know his name, she can’t remember his face and spends months trying to find anything that could tell her who this boy once was.
Avery doesn’t realize that the boy who saved her life, has been watching her. Has wanted to help her, to make sure she is going to have the life she should have. After a huge decision, that involves theft. Kai, the boy who saved her life, want’s to save her again. But how will he do it?
This really was a beautifully written story. About loss, and how to overcome those obstacles and move on with your life. I really loved Kai, he had a good heart. He didn’t want Avery to blame herself, for something that she couldn’t control. I didn’t like Avery’s “boyfriend” since she wasn’t the same person as she was before. It was like he didn’t want anything to do with her. He was pretty much a total douche canoe.
The story did take a turn, that I didn’t expect. I did enjoy this story. Avery and Kai are two strong souls, that found love in each other. They were willing to fight for each other. And not ever let go.
Overall, I give this book four stars. It was exciting, unique, and really had me on edge. I had to finish.
