Five Boundless Stars
I received a paperback copy of this book in return for an honest review. I was not disappointed. I rated this a 5, but I'd rate it a 10 if I could. In my mind, it was a 10!
This book follows Lauren and her best Kady; Who goes missing. Lauren is the number one suspect. They were both musicians until Lauren gets sick and is ordered not to sing or make music. Then when Kady performs as a solo act one night and then goes missing, Lauren is the top suspect. The whole book she is on the search for the truth. Who hurt Kady? Where is she? You also see the view from Jude, an old friend of Laurens who had been hurt by Kady and Lauren in the past. Together, they try to solve the mystery of Kady's disappearance. They put aside all past hurts and search for the truth together. This book was really good. Lauren is a character that is easy to like. At first, so is Kady, but as the book goes on she becomes a little easy to hate as well. This book was a great mystery from beginning to end. This is not a book that is predictable. Many mystery books, you seem to figure out what the ending will be early on, but not this book. This book kept me guessing. I thought I knew, but then I would change my view. That's why the ending was such a shock. It really was a HOLY COW ending. It was awesome. This book was captivating. It was full of action and suspense. It was written great. This was a great book all around.
