Synopsis

Once Rose Fisher makes a decision, that’s it. End of story. Like when her ex, Patrick, dumped her out of the blue, then showed up with a super hot, tatted up sex kitten on his arm. Then it was over for good. The end. Poof. Dead to her. Except he was everywhere — down the hall, at the bar with their friends, worming his way into her dreams. But with their friends paired off, they’re left alone more and more. Rose is determined to keep him friendzoned — doesn’t matter that he stares at her with a smolder that drops all panties in a ten foot radius. She’s over him, and she’ll prove it by getting back into the dating game, Patrick be damned. Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him. The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

Five (HUGE) Boundless Stars

I was super super excited that Last Call was about Rose and Tricky. I loved Rose from the previous books. The little glimpses we got of her throughout those stories. And let me tell you.. This story, their story did not disappoint.

I have to say that Rose is the most stubborn woman evvvveerrr. But I understood why she was that way. She wanted to stick to her decisions and honestly I was a little wary of Tricky throughout this book. I just wanted to smash these two together and be like make up, damn it! you love each other.. it’s super obvious! But of course if that happened in the beginning, we wouldn’t exactly have a story.

Kirsten’s narration was great! it seems like it just gets better and better. Its really rare for me to find a narrator that has the capabilities she does. I think I’ll be a fan for life! Hart’s characters are now very dear to my heart and I just love them. Can you fall in love with a series? I think it’s possible. I also will make it a point to read or listen to more of her books. Her writing style, is what I look for and enjoy.

I feel these two characters had really overcome their fears. I wasn’t annoyed that Lily and West wanted to make this happen. They all knew they needed and wanted each other. This book does have a hard topic, addiction. I’ve seen it a lot throughout my life and it was written very realistically. Even with the heaviness, there are a lot of laughs. The nipple piercing scene, was seriously the funniest thing ever.

Overall, I give this book a Huge HUGE Five Boundless Stars. Are there going to me more from Bad Habits? ummm I hope so.
