Synopsis

One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime. One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever. Or so they believe. When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation? Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.

Five (HUGE) Boundless Stars

Live Beautifully.

I’m not sure I can write a review that can justify this story. But I sure will try. I was going through a rough patch of books. I was reading really good stories but they weren’t touching me in a way that I wanted. The characters weren’t connecting as I would've liked. I read books, I review, It’s just what I do. I was lost.

But then, while reading another book, I wasn’t connecting with any characters. The story was ok but it wasn’t that great, to be honest. So I said to myself, Life is short. I’m going to read A Thousand Boy Kisses. See if it will touch me as it has everyone whose read it.

Let me just say, it was more than I had expected. It was the most beautiful story I’ve read in a really long time. It’s a timeless romance that would top Noah and Allie. Through all these years no one could top those two. I just know that if it was turned into a movie. It would be the #1 romance.

At just 34% I was crying, nose sniffling, ugly crying. I was glad that I was by myself. I could just feel this love and connection they had deep in my chest. The ache for Poppy and Rune. Just like the book, it’s the moments that we capture. The moments you can’t go back to but relive in your memory.

A Thousand Boy Kisses, is a story full of heart. A heartbreaking melody. I loved Poppy, she was so full of life. She loved life, she wanted to live and see the sunrise. She loved Rune more than anything in the world. And Rune loved her more than anything. I fell in love with these two. I felt so much reading this story. I laughed at times as well, it’s not a depressing story. So don’t think it is. It was so much more.
