City girl, country guy. Will opposites attract--or clash? When New-York-City girl Emily visits her cousin Janelle in Oregon, Emily wonders how she'll survive the wilderness. Janelle wonders if the wilderness will survive Emily's visit--and if she can convince her cousin to help save part of an old-growth forest. Meanwhile, Emily also wonders if a big-city girl can get along with a county guy--named Bret. Under forest canopies and by crystal-clear waters she struggles with her growing attraction to him. But they're so different. Whoever thought she'd fall for someone like him?
Five Boundless Stars
This book is a quick, funny, teenage romance, that I really loved. Emily is from New York and when her parents ship her off to Oregon for 10 days she feels like the world is collapsing. She finds out when she gets there that life in Oregon is not as bad as she thought it would be. As a matter of fact she even begins enjoying it. Someone Like Him, was a wonderful young adult book that was a fast read, funny, action packed, nature filled, and had tons of adventure. Emily is so funny at times with how she acts in new situations, I caught myself laughing and even relating to her some. I'm a country girl at heart, but I was raised in the city and so I have been there and done that. This book brings a lot of humor and has a very cute romance that was teen friendly. It was clean and one that can be read and enjoyed from page one. It also had a great ending.
