Synopsis

When Barrett Overbrook arrived at the quaint B&B, she was in an emotional tailspin. Her ex-fiancé had just married her twin sister, and Barrett could no longer deny that the betrayal had shattered her. Soon after checking into her room she fell into a surprisingly peaceful slumber. But by the next morning her life had changed forever...

Columbus, Ohio, 1887 - Like lightning, Barrett awoke. She was still at the same B&B, but in its rustic charm it was now obviously a home. Everyone kept calling her Elizabeth, she was in excruciating pain, very pregnant, and very much in labor. The man at her feet informed her with more than a little resentment that he was her husband, but that he was NOT the father of the child he was delivering. Did her accursed guardian angel cause all of this? Was THIS the way he thought she could "fix" the loneliness in her life?

Five Boundless Stars

I have really began to like Jenny Lykins work! While all the books I've read so far have a Time Travel theme, they are all unique in their own way. Waiting for Yesterday follows Barrett, a sad and very alone woman in 1997, who gets sent back in time by her guardian angel. She is sent to find love and is thrust into an awful position. I connected with Waiting for Yesterday more then the others I've read by Jenny, it just struck me as being more real. The beginning is just wow! What a way to find out you are back in a time not your own. This book was well written and is full of action from the very beginning. I loved it!
