Life is full of expectations. For Brady Coldwell it’s always been about the game. Hockey is and always will be, his life. His family sacrificed everything to get him here and he won’t let them down. He knows what’s expected of him. Natalie Banks is no different. She too knows what it means to have everyone sacrifice for you.
She knows about the debt that’s left owing in the end and the price you pay for making up your own mind. But when an innocent mistake lands them as roommates, neither of them is prepared for the feelings they have or the consequences of their actions.
How do you negotiate matters of the heart?
How do you say no when it simply feels so right? Five Boundless Stars
Love happens. It happens when you least expect it. Maybe not at the right time but it finds its way. It holds your heart, and tells you don't run.
Nat and Brady, two who were just completely destined for each other. Hockey player and Nat a part time nerd and who looks like a model. She's seriously the prefect girl, for someone such as Brady. He learns what it really means, to be whole heartedly with one person. Completely enamored. Erin makes it completely easy to adore these two and the friends they have. I didn't want to stop reading and I didn't want it to be completely over.
Just throwing it out there, Yes Brady was a player before. He had sex with girls who were like groupies for Hockey. It didn't bother me, Why? Because he's an adult and both were consenting. It also gives way for you to see a change that happens with Brady. He's a good guy at heart and people change, sometimes for the better. I think that's the whole point of the story. Sometimes there's that one person who can completely change your world.
I don't normally read other reviews but after I read this one. Some of the reviews kind of got under my skin. Not only did they take a stab at the author but then made it personal to those who actually loved and enjoyed this story. There's also a way of being honest, without being hurtful or rude.
That being said, This was still a cute, funny and heartwarming story. To me I grew close to these characters because I understood them. If you don't understand where the author is coming from with the characters. That is also fine. You just didn't get to enjoy them as I did. It's the first book I've read this year and I'm so glad I picked it up. I'll have to read more of Erin's in the future.
Also, if you can't stop reading a story and actually read within a day. Then you know that a writer, is doing something right.
