As soon as I stepped onto the grounds of Amaris High, I knew I'd made a big mistake. I could never fit in at such a snobbish school – I was more IT girl than "it girl". But then I saw him. Sam Spencer. My childhood best friend. But it couldn't be. Sam Spencer had died three years ago, on the night that changed everything. I need to know what happened, why he's suddenly not dead and is hanging out with a bunch of rich kids. When the school is hit by a truth spell, it seems like the perfect chance to find out what Sam and his creepy new friends are hiding, but the weirder things get, the less I'm sure I want to know. Even for Sam, even for the free food, Amaris High might be more trouble than it's worth.
Five (4.5) Boundless Stars
Lucy, isn't rich. She likes food and hates her new school. After arriving at Amaris High she is thrust into a world, she could've only dreamed of. She just wants what is best for her family.
Soon, things start happening to Lucy. She starts questioning not just herself, but the people around her. She starts seeking answers and is pulled into the mystery, who's responsible for the truth spell?
Lucy and Sam, I felt so heartbroken for both of them. He was her best friend and the one thing in the world, she never wanted to lose.
I enjoy a good YA, it will always be my first love. I really enjoyed this story and Anita's writing is excellent. It was funny, yet serious. I'm very happy that I decided to purchase this story. It was part of a Book Blitz, back in November that we had participated in. I enjoyed it so much, I'm pre-ordering the second one out in February. So... That will be a wait.
If you love YA, a little bit of Magic and a little bit of Werewolves. Then you should totally dive in and start reading!
