There’s no emotion greater than fear.
No ache greater than grief.
No sound greater than silence.
I’m grateful he showed up on my doorstep, pissed off and angry at the world. If he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here. And I don’t just mean here on this journey with him.I mean here, in this world.
I wonder what events in all our lives—hers included—are The Turning Points? The points where we all determine that the fear of our pasts and the uncertainty of our futures are greater than our need for happiness.
Here.
Now.
While time and everything around us stands unmoving… who’s to say we can’t have it all?
We wanted it all.We wanted it with each other. We thrived on the chaos we created. And ignored the Mayhem that ensued.Because falling in love was easy. But sometimes, love isn’t enough. Five Boundless Stars
They say the quiet ones, always have the most to say. That holds true with Dylan and Riley. They find something in each other, that I don't think anyone could quite understand. One thing I loved about this, is the realness. Two people coming together, getting to know each other. Every little piece. Really seeing who they they are. It wasn't slow, it was the feeling of being. Getting to know someone, really getting to know the one person you think about on a constant basis. Looking at the time, wondering when the next message would appear or the next time they would come knocking on your door. I've read almost all of Jays books and honestly they get better and better. Capturing moments. There are times through out this story where I cried, I felt the loss these two characters had. I laughed at the Mayhem. Because what is life, without laughter and family. The family that's made through the years and the ones your born with. Love isn't easy, I think that in ways it shouldn't. There are times in your life, where you'll hit your lows. But those standing next to you, those are ones you keep at your side. “Because sometimes you need to have nightmares to appreciate the dreams.” I didnt know what to expect with this story, I was really nervous. The amount of an emotional toll that is Jays writing, is indescribable. I'm one fan of thousand and maybe millions through out the world. She inspires that love that sits in all of us. I’m thankful, in many ways that I’ve gotten to experience this world that Jay created. Their characters, that take your breath away. Characters that, you could probably just hang out with and probably give some great advice or just be. I’ve read a ton of books this year. Comes with the territory of a book blogger. These are kinds of stories that I live for. The ones that change some part of you, that take pieces of your heart and then by the end their glued back together.
