Synopsis

Anything you can imagine. Everything you crave. For the members of The Raven Room, it’s every fantasy fulfilled. But for some, that desire is a matter of life and death. Drawn by needs he cannot control, Julian ventures to The Raven Room, a secret and exclusive sex club in the underbelly of Chicago. It goes beyond sex. It goes beyond kink. The Raven Room is the only place where Julian finds release from the dangerous urges that threaten to destroy the successful life he’s worked so hard to build. When the police link the Raven Room to the death of a young woman, it threatens to expose a number of powerful people—people who would kill to stay anonymous... Meredith’s body can’t get enough of Julian. He has opened her sexual horizons to tempting new possibilities. But out of bed she’s an aspiring journalist, and The Raven Room is the story she’s been looking for. By writing an exposé on the club and its elite clientele, she plans to launch her career. As Meredith embarks on a sexual journey into the forbidden world that Julian inhabits, questions emerge, and dark appetites threaten to swallow her whole. How much can she trust the man who has laid bare her erotic nature and how much will she sacrifice in order to protect him?

Five Boundless Stars

I was provided a copy of The Raven Room in exchange for an honest review. This was a brilliantly written story revolving around a man laced in mystery and eroticism. Julian is leading a double life, on the outside he is highly successful physiologist, but he has a very dark need that he fills at the Raven Room. If it were to come out it would destroy him. "Yes, I want to control you. I want to hurt you. I want to tie you up, blindfold you, gag you, spank you, hear your screams, see your tears, smell your arousal, feel the sweat on your skin, taste your blood." Meredith is young wild and has almost zero sexual boundaries. Julian has played a large part in her sexual exploration in there very unconventional relationship. Which leads to them going to The Raven Room. Meredith also has ulterior motives and plans on writing an expose on The Raven Room to launch her career in journalism. Just when I thought I knew which way was up, I was turned upside down. This is one of the most erotic reads I've had the pleasure of getting my hands on. Yet at the same time there is so much mystery and intrigue. I loved every minute of it and read it in one day, I couldn't put it down! We were left at such a cliffhanger that it's almost painful! I can not wait for the next book in this series. The Raven Room is Ana Medeiros first novel and if this is any indication of her work she has earned a fan for life!
