Synopsis
Fitting into the Old World isn’t going very well for Boulder boundary witch Allison “Lex” Luther: she may have earned a place in a vampire’s service, but now it seems as if every supernatural creature in town has found a reason to hate her. And when Lex and her partner are assigned to investigate the suspicious disappearance of two vampires during the night of the full moon, they find themselves with more questions than answers. Was it murder…or mutiny? The crusade for answers will lead Lex all over the Colorado Old World, from a prison cell for a broken werewolf to a haunted Denver brothel. And when Lex determines the responsible party, the hunt is just beginning: something has been awakened in Boulder, something as old and powerful as it is terrifying. Only the woman with death in her blood can stop what’s coming.
Five Boundless Stars
I was really excited, when it popped up on my kindle. Since I had pre-ordered and had been waiting patiently. I love this World that Melissa has created. Her writing, is just amazing. I really can't think of another word for it.
Lex, is back in the second book to the series. Dealing with the past and her current future. Crazy stuff starts happening in Boulder, Colorado. With the help of Quinn (whom I adore), Simon, and Lily. There's plenty of action. Plenty of Mystery. We meet a lot of new characters throughout the story.
I really love Lex, she's really a strong, brave, Caring character. I think her level headedness really helps with Maven. Whose use to you know? Pulling hearts right out of someone's chest. I enjoyed them all meeting up together to destroy something, that is utterly disgusting and I probably would of ran far far away.
This is such a great Urban Fantasy series!! I really can't wait for the next one. If I could have it now, that would be great.
