Synopsis

Raised on a farm in Kentucky in near-isolation, Madison Daley never suspected that her father had a rock star past. As soon as he tells her the truth, she launches a mission to get him back to their mansion in Beverly Hills in hopes that he'll decide to go back on the stage.

When they get to Beverly Hills, Mads meets Gio Abate, the "perfect" Italian boy next door. Sparks fly and a summer romance ensues, but when Mads finds out who her mother is, she finds out that her new boyfriend also has a secret. Can she get her dad back to the stage, cope with the truth about her mother, and keep her summer love all at once?

Three (2.5) Boundless Stars

If you can imagine, being sixteen and then finding out that your dad was this huge Rock Star. Has a house in California and you've stuck on a Farm. That would be a whole game changer. Now, I really liked the idea of this story. But it didn't grab on to me. It took a bit to get through it.

The writing was on a good/ok level, but I think as a YA it would be good for the YA crowd. I really wanted more. I was investing my time into this story, but it just seemed to play in the background.

The story at times had some sad moments. But it seemed like they just got over it quickly, it more was more, oh it's okay and move on. I think the twists in the story were interesting. I didn't guess them, in the beginning. So that's a plus.

I'm giving this a 2.5 but with 3 stars. I believe it's a good short read for the younger YA crowd.
