I loved the cover of this book and I was instantly drawn to it. I've been a fan of Reapers, I loved Dead Like Me. One of my favorite shows ever! So naturally when I found out what this book was about, I had to read it.
We have Olivia aka Ollie who is a scrivener. She tattoos skulls on people's bodies, when they come into the shop. Which means those people will die very soon. Ollie has a power she doesn't understand and one that could get her killed.
She meets Brent, he wants her to help him, to rebel against Marin and bring back order to Styx.
This was written so well, I really loved this world. Ollie is such a strong kick ass female character. At first she's scared but she realizes that she'd do anything to help those she loves. Even if that makes her a rebel!
This was new and fresh. One of the best books I've read this year, in this genre. The story kept me Interested and I wanted to finish. Then I finished and now I want to read more. So now I must wait for #2 in the series!
