Synopsis

The ride of her life . . . Once upon a time, Carissa Teodoro believed in happy endings. Money, marriage, motherhood: everything came easy---until she woke up to the ugly truth about her Prince Charming. Now a struggling, single mom and stranded by a flat tire, Carissa's pondering her mistakes when a vaguely familiar knight rides to her rescue on a ton of horsepower. Climb on and hold tight . . . In high school, Carson Steele was a bad boy loner who put Carissa on a pedestal where she stayed far beyond his reach. Today, he's the hard-bodied biker known only as Joker, and from the way Carissa's acting, it's clear she's falling fast. While catching her is irresistible, knowing what to do with her is a different story. A good girl like Carissa is the least likely fit with the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Too bad holding back is so damned hard. Now, as Joker's secrets are revealed and an outside threat endangers the club, Joker must decide whether to ride steady with Carissa---or ride away forever . . .

Two Boundless Stars

This is my 11th Kristen Ashley book and I hate to say it I'm thinking this is going to be my last.

The last few books I've read I've noticed that the characters are practically the same, just change the name. The dialog is the same, even the sweet gestures are the same. Example sliding the nose up along her nose. This also took Place in Knight and I'm sure one other book.

I purchased the Audiobook edition so there were some things that probably wouldn't have bothered me If I was reading the book vs listening.

"I drew in breath"

This line drove me bonkers! It has been used in several books yet it didn't grate on me until Ride Steady, and I heard it spoken repeatedly! Is there some personal vendetta against the letter A? A breath.

I have loved several of Kristen Ashley's book. I have said repeatedly the Knight is my all time favorite book. However, reading and now hearing the same dialog/character repeated over and over I'm going to have to make Ride Steady my last Kristen Ashley Book (for awhile).

Ride Steady is a sweet love story that has very little struggle. I read another review and It described this book as a Cinderella done Biker Style by Love to Read. That pretty much says it all.

I don't expect my love stories to be realistic, if they were realistic the Hero would Fart and throw the blankets over the Heroine's head while screaming Dutch Oven. However there comes a point when a story is suppose to be about Badass bickers and it becomes so unrealistic I'm rolling my eyes most of the time.

I really wanted to love this one, I thought about, In thinking about it I tried liking it but my thoughts went back to this kind inner monologue all throughout the book. So, my thinking about it turned into a decision, my decision made. I'm giving the book a 2.
