It used to be such a nice neighborhood. Derek and his wife Toni were content living in the quiet suburbs of Barton, Kansas. Until the new neighbors moved in. Rude, brash, loud, but there was something more to them. Something Derek couldn't put his finger on. And the older neighbors were dying off at an alarming rate. Were Derek’s past mental issues resurfacing or was he on to a darker truth? And just what is in the basement of the house on Pawnee Lane?

Derek Winton, has lived in the same neighborhood for a really long time. He's watched people move in and out. He's had good neighbors. He was the youngest in the beginning. But some new people move in right around the time his elderly neighbor goes a little coco.
I felt bad for Derek, everything was making him sound like a crazy person. The things he found, the way his new neighbors acted. I think I would of been mad myself but chuck it up to midlife crisis.
This was a crazy, heart pumping book. I finished within a day. I couldn't put it down. It was an insane ride. Don't want to give too much away. Luckily, it won't give me nightmares
