Synopsis

We all play victims to our pasts; to the choices we make and the lives we create. They define who we are. And sometimes if we're lucky enough, the past stays where it belongs: in the past. I'm not one of the lucky ones. I never have been. Because now the past is knocking on my door, offering deals I have no choice but to take… deals that will help bring justice—not just for me, but for my brothers. The problem? The deal is a ticking time bomb. One I didn't know existed. Tick. Tock.

Review by Lissa

This was a surprise release, had no idea it was coming. It's like getting something cool in the mail, you totally forgot about. Jay is one of my favorites. Her writing is amazing.

You meet Ky who is a pretty angry guy but still caring. He had a rough upbringing, which is understandable why he's totally angry. A situation arises and decides to go into this territory, that is new. That is also dangerous. What's not to love about fighting and danger?!

He happens to meet Madison, his neighbor. You know there's something about her. Something that she hasn't told Ky for whatever reason.

"Because you don't deserve to live in a world without Color." - Ky

Umm swoon! Manly man with a heart. Whose fallen for a girl. I'm looking at Flowers in a whole new light.

Though the relationship is bumpy and there's still those secrets. You can't help but like Madison. I can understand why Ky was enthralled by her.

This.. Was so excellent. That ending!!! I did not expect that to happen. That's what I love, when I'm surprised at the end.
