Lissa's Review: Bourbon Sins (Bourbon #1) by Meghan Quinn
APC PUBLISHER: Meghan Quinn RELEASED: June 30, 2014 GENRE: EROTIC, CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE LENGTH: 332 pages FORMAT: EBOOK
On the streets of New Orleans, sins are committed every night.
My name is Jett Colby and I save tarnished souls.
In the downtown, under the glittery lights of Bourbon Street, I found her in cheap lingerie, flaunting her body for callous men and money. From the lace of her cheap lingerie, to her garter belt, I knew she had to be saved.
She had to be mine.
Broke and destitute with no way of out, she had no choice but to come to me and into my club. She had no other choice but to become a Jett Girl.
But see, that’s the thing about this city; you might think that under the dazzling lights and illusion of salvation, she’s the one that needed saving.
When the glitter fades and the dirt is washed away, the one worth saving just might be me.
FOUR BOUNDLESS STARS
Bourbon Sins is erotic, full of secrets and downright sexy. Goldie is having a hard time at life. She’s working at a lower class strip club as a waitress. Has an awful boss and a sordid affair. That is until Jett comes suavely into her life. Giving her an opportunity that she didn’t think she would ever have. This is a lot different than any of the other Quinn books I’ve read. Though, I did enjoy it. I wasn’t in love with it. For whatever reason, I had a hard time connecting with the characters on an emotional level. I did enjoy the feel of it, never really knowing what you’ve gotten yourself in to. This is a hot, hot read. So just be prepared. Sometimes I really liked Jett and other times I really couldn’t stand him. I think it was because he had to control most of the aspects of his life. I’m on the fence about him, he has some good qualities. It will be interesting to see how the next few books play out. Overall, I give this Four Boundless Stars.
