She needs him to save the world. He needs her to save himself.

A terrifying darkness has risen and is sweeping Kutia Hollow, leaving dead bodies in its wake. Luna Vale, a fae militia lieutenant in post-apocalyptic Moscow, discovers evidence that a criminal holds the answer to stopping the murders. Except those in charge at the precinct are corrupt. She’s determined to protect everyone from extinction and breaks Axel out of prison.

Devastated to be on the run from her former friends and colleagues, she must now work together with Axel before the killers close in on them. But time is running out, and falling for Axel only heightens the dangers. To survive, Luna must find strength in her arcane powers and confront the cursed creatures whose malevolence knows no bounds. Failure isn’t an option. Not when it means losing her family, her job, and her life.

Don’t miss this thrilling, fast-paced, conflict-ridden urban fantasy from T.F. Walsh. If you enjoyed works by Ilona Andrews and Kelly Meding, Binding Curse is for you. I voluntarily received and ARC of Binding Curse in exchange for an honest review. I will admit the #4 in the title almost had me not wanting to read this story. You know my whole OCD thing with reading series in order. I researched the website and read more about what these authors are doing with this series. It is interesting. I think they should remove the # from the books and just call them a Dark Fae Hallow stories. Especially since they can all be read as a standalone and in no particular order.

In Binding Curse, Walsh created a desolate waste land of a post-apocalyptic Russia, that has such a raw and desperate feel. It was vivid and bleak yet full of action and suspense. In this world, Fae and humans have a fragile peace only due to the fact their life forces are bond together at birth.

“….every fae and human baby were matched at birth, bond by magic. If one died, so did the other.”

It was meant to bring peace, however it turned into a curse, when fae and humans are being killed by a dark force that will stop at nothing.

The story was fast paced and loaded with a lot of action and drama. I just personally didn’t connect with Luna or Axel. Yet the story was till good. I am giving it 3 Boundless Stars.
