Chicago has always been a hotbed for violence, crime and political corruption. Four governors served prison sentences; two of them were sentenced to longer jail sentences than their terms of office. There are always more crimes than cops. During Prohibition, Detective Tug Collier created the Widows and Orphans’ Fund, a euphemism for graft money. That fund eventually financed a private investigative agency known as Taylor Street. When a case involving violence is closed for lack of evidence, the police department refers the case to the private detectives of Taylor Street who use alternative crime-fighting techniques.Frankie Turk and Lola Lahti were suspended for using excessive violence in the pursuit of justice. So they were the perfect detectives to investigate the murder of the husband of a wealthy young widow who owns Chicago’s hottest night spot, Club Red. Join Chicago’s most interesting crime-fighting couple as they investigate The Taylor Street case file of RED CIN. Five Boundless Stars

I was provide a copy of the Audiobook of The Taylor Street File of Red Cin in exchange for an honest review. I am so glad JoBe offered his work to me. I honestly can't think of a time I have enjoyed a book so much that wasn't any type of Urban Fantasy or Romance.

When I was younger I use to watch the show Columbo with my folk's and this novel just brought back those memories. Not that I remember them too clearly, considering I was under 10 at the time. But this novel just had that feel. Not too gritty, yet full of mystery and suspense but at the same time funny to the point of laughing out loud. I really loved everything about it.

I think JoBe did a fantastic job of bringing his characters to life and giving them so much depth that you can feel their emotions. This isn't my normal genre and I am really looking forward to the next long trip with my husband having a great audio book to share because I know he will love it too!

So I will have to say this is a great big 5 for me with a side of I really hope there are more Taylor Street Files in the future because I am a fan!
